Eastern Correctional Institution: Propane Fuel Conversion

InSite BUILD is the Construction Manager partner for Joseph M. Zimmer, Inc. on this $4.3M renovation at ECI to convert the campus from propane to natural gas. This project includes the installation of buried HDPE pipelines to both the Annex and MCE campuses, a total of 7 different buildings, as well as new natural gas regulating stations, metering stations, and a complete replacement of each building’s mechanical rooms. InSite will directly oversee all exterior renovations of this project, including the horizontal directional drilling of nearly 7,500 lf of new HDPE gas piping. This project includes complex phasing while maintaining the full functionality of the facility’s systems at all times during the conversion.
